Nooray, Cybil, Zara, Aamina Sheikh and Nadia AliLeading lifestyle and textile brand So Kamal launched their much anticipated collaborative venture with fashion designer Zara Shahjahan: Kamal Lawn by Zara Shahjahan through an exclusive exhibition and fashion showcase featuring their brand ambassador, award winning actress and model, Aamina Sheikh.

The exhibition was attended by a diversity of personalities including Erum Ahmad, Director Kamal Limited and So Kamal, CEO Kamal Limited Ahmad Kamal, the face of Kamal Lawn by Zara Shahjahan Aamina Sheikh, who was styled by Shammal Qureshi of TONI&GUY Lahore for L’Oréal Professionnel, along with models Cybil, Nadia Ali and Nooray Bhatti who were all sporting Kamal Lawn by Zara Shahjahan ensembles. The event was managed by J&S Events with Public Relations by Lotus.

Revealing exclusive collection information, for Kamal Lawn by Zara Shahjahan 2013, the designer draws inspiration from the floral Eastern tradition and vintage Persian aesthetic, to introduce 15 distinct designs, each in two-colour variations with a diverse colour palette consisting of options in vibrant hues as well as more subtle pastel shades. Kamal Lawn by Zara Shahjahan will also offer a diversity of design options with fabric uniquely printed to allow for multiple stitching options through the print complete with chiffon dupattas. A customised design kit will also accompany each print with requisite borders, brooches, laces and embroideries for a complete look. Further, the collection also includes stitched lawn kurtas as tailored by So Kamal available in multiple sizes. The stitched lawn kurtas are priced at PKR 3,000 and unstitched three piece outfits at PKR 4,000 to PKR 5,000.

One of the premier home textiles exporters of Pakistan, Kamal Limited has established a niche for itself in the Pakistani retail market, first with the introduction of their debut designer lawn collection in 2012 with Élan, and later by establishing 3 stand-alone lifestyle retail stores by the name of So Kamal, in Lahore, Islamabad and Faisalabad, in the short span of 1 year with a fourth store planned in Karachi’s upmarket Dolmen City Mall and another one in Multan for 2013. Fashion designer Zara Shahjahan is well renowned for her design philosophy focusing on an aesthetic that is feminine and sophisticated with a signature look which is simple, beautiful and always in vogue. With a background in miniature painting, she is one of Pakistan’s few designers who has the expertise to make her own motifs.

Kamal Lawn by Zara Shahjahan exhibitions will be followed by in-store availability on the 09th of March in Faisalabad, Islamabad and Multan at their stand-alone Flagship Stores.
